Pakistani President invited to Azerbaijan for official visit

Outgoing ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Eynulla Madatli met with President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari on July 28.

Azerbaijani embassy to Pakistan said that the diplomat conveyed condolences by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Pakistani President on the plane crash resulted in death of more than 150 people.

Pakistani President thanked for condolences and best wishes and said our countries were together on good and unpleasant days. The ambassador emphasized that he made efforts for the development of Azerbaijani-Pakistani relations during his mission to Pakistan and said Pakistan’s support in the issue of Nagorno Karabakh was very important for Azerbaijan and added that he was looking forward for continuation of this support. President Zardari said his country’s position was unchangeable and principal and this policy would be continued further.

The diplomat invited the Pakistani President to Azerbaijan on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev. Zardari accepted the invitation and expressed willingness to visit Azerbaijan. He thanked Ambassador Madatli for his contribution to the development of relations between the countries and wished him successes in his new office.

Before the meeting with the President, Ambassador Madatli met with Prime Minister of Pakistan Yusif Rza Gilani, Chairman of the Pakistani Senate Faruk Naik and other officials.
