2 criminals of Ashura riots executed in Iran.
Two criminals who had been arrested during post-election riots were executed for their anti-revolutionary moves and involving in the sacrileges and riots of the Ashura Day (December 27) in Tehran.
"Mohammad Reza Ali Zamani and Arash Rahmani Pour whose cases were confirmed by a Tehran appeal court were executed on Thursday morning," statement of Tehran prosecutor's office said.
Nine other anti-revolution criminals were also sentenced to death and their cases were sent to Tehran appeal court for final confirmation.
They were also convicted of plotting to topple the Islamic system regime, it added.
