The head of Poland's National Security Bureau, Stanislaw Koziej, has criticized Azerbaijan for bellicose statements on Karabakh.

He made the comments to Armenia's National Security Council secretary, Artur Bagdasaryan, yesterday.

“We condemn militaristic statements by Azerbaijan and believe that Baku's position of making threats on one hand and engaging in negotiations on the other to be unacceptable,” Koziej said.

He stressed the importance of a peaceful settlement to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

Koziej and Bagdasaryan, meeting in Poland, discussed the opportunities to strengthen Armenian-Polish defence cooperation.

They emphasized the need for dialogue on national security issues and for the peaceful settlement of conflicts.
