Azerbaijanis more active than Armenians on Wikipedia

Number of articles posted by Azerbaijani citizens on Wikipedia increased.

The number of articles posted by Azerbaijani citizens on the online encyclopedia Wikipedia has seen an upsurge in the recent six months with the number of active Wikipedia users having increased only slightly.

If there were about 54,000 articles in Azeri in Wikipedia six months ago, now they make a total of 81,199.

Initially there were 339 active users, while now there are 359.

Active users are those who have done some activity in the recent 30 days on the website.

Armenians have produced 1628 articles on Wikipedia in the recent half year, bringing the number of Armenian articles up to a total of 14,619.

The number of Armenian users of Wikipedia has increased from 10,221 to 12,559, though the number of active users among Armenians has decreased from 167 to 153 in the recent six months.

Articles in Turkish exceed 172,000.

Some of the articles written and posted by Armenians are the result of several events organized in the country in March this year. These events involved students and volunteers who produced more than 640 such articles in Armenian.
