Warlick comments on possible meeting of Aliyev and Sargsyan at US summit

James Warlick has made a statement.

OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs do not plan a meeting of presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia in the framework of the 4th Summit on Nuclear Security in Washington.

Oxu.Az reports with reference to Report that the due statment came from the the OSCE Minsk Group US co-chairman James Warlick.

"At the moment there are no plans for the presidents' meeting in Washington. Nevertheless, we are ready to promote an active dialogue between the presidents this year.

On behalf of the other co-chairs, I plan to hold meetings with the parties to discuss the progress of the process of settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict," Warlick said.

Earlier, Armenian media quoting diplomatic sources have stated the intention of mediators to organize a meeting of presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington.

On December 3, 2015, US President Barack Obama sent to President Ilham Aliyev a letter of invitation to 4th Nuclear Security Summit to be held in Washington from March 31 to April 1.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan also received the invitation to attend the summit.
