SOFAZ revenues more than $2 bn from "Shah Deniz"

The reserves are estimated at 1.2 trl of cubic meters of gas.

As of October 1, 2014, since 2007 the revenues of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) from the project of gas condensate field "Shah Deniz" in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea amounted to $2,006 m.

Oxu.Az reports citing Day.az that the information was provided by the State Oil Fund.
According to the fund, from January to October 1, 2014 the State Oil Fund in the framework of the "Shah Deniz" project received $409 m.

The Reserves of the "Shah Deniz" field are estimated at 1.2 trl cubic meters of gas. The contract to develop this offshore field was signed on June 4, 1996.
