Face of Georgia at Eurovision 2011 to be Sofia Nizharadze

The face of Georgia at 2011 Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) will be Sofia Nizharadze.

Georgian famous singer Sofia Nizharadze as spokesperson will announce the votes from Georgia and present the list of the European countries Georgia will vote for.

Nizharadze will appear before the TV viewers after voting process. Each participant country will nominate its favorite.

The face of Georgia at Eurovision was Mariam Vashadze, the announcer of news program ,,Moambe” of Georgian Public Broadcasting in 2010, in 2008 –Tika Patsatsia and 2007 – Neliko Agirba.

Sofia Nizharadze, Georgian entrant at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) ranked the 9th place in the ESC final, which was held in Oslo, Norway on May 29, 2010. Nizharadze performed the song “Shine”.

The final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Duseldorf, Germany. Semi-Final will take place on the 10th and 12th of May, and final on May 14.

Group “Eldrine” will represent Georgia at 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “One More Day”.
