Saakashvili accuses the government of closing the most modern and progressive university in the country.

Agrarian University may be closed - the National Development Center of Education Quality took a decision on suspending authorization to the university late last night. The discussion was held amid the protest of the university students, who said the decision was unfair. The students plan to continue their protest.

President of Georgia has also commented on the decision of the Center. Mikheil Saakashvili accuses the government of closing the most modern and progressive university in the country.

`The government is trying to close the most modern and progressive university of Georgia, thus making a blow on Georgia`s future. It is quite clear that this decision is not supported with arguments and it is unfair for all those persons, who have a bit of the feeling of impartiality. I call on the government to revise this politically motivated decision, which may lead us to a complete catastrophe,` president`s statement says.
