Russia's Putin telephones Ilham Aliyev

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed the Syrian settlement and agreed to continue contacts during their telephone conversation.

Oxu.Az reports that the due information was released by Kremlin's press service.

"A telephone conversation of President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev was held. The sides discussed a number of topical issues of trade and economic cooperation and the international agenda," the statement says.

"The leaders exchanged views on the Syrian settlement, stressing the importance of implementing the joint statement of the Russian Federation and the USA on the cessation of hostilities in Syria," the press-service reports.
