Red and green poles will be installed as early as next year.

Russia is completing the process of demarcation of borders with Azerbaijan.

Oxu.az reports citing Interfax that the statement came from the  Russian president's special envoy for the delimitation and demarcation of borders with CIS states, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Minister Igor Brathcikov.

"As for the Russian side, we have almost completed the preparation of cartographic materials needed to launch the so-called "field" work, drafted a plan of specific installation of border marks, the formation of inter-agency demarcation working groups to enter the area.

These costs are envisaged in the federal budget. Demarcation of borders is a joint process. Thus, taking into account the readiness of our Azerbaijani neighbors and colleagues I think red and green poles with Russian symbols will be installed in the souther part of Russia next year," I.Bratchikov said.
