An explosion took place in the Sumgayit ethylene-polyethylene plant’s E-12 gas storage in Azerbaijan.
The momentary explosion occurred in KamAZ tank, which was pumping a gas to the storage, also damaged other vehicle parked in nearby area, APA reports quoting the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
There was gas leakage during the explosion. No fire and casualties were reported, but firefighters took all security measures at site.
Reasons of the explosion are being investigated.
