National minorities are now playing a major role in the public life of Azerbaijan.

The statement came from the chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights, MP Rabiyyat Aslanova, speaking at event "Azerbaijan - the home country!" of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children, held at the Park inn.

According to her, Azerbaijan is an example of tolerance, and it is a great achievement.

"All citizens of Azerbaijan, regardless of nationality, consider Azerbaijan as their homeland, and it clearly shows the level of tolerance in the country.

National leader Heydar Aliyev once said that every citizen of Azerbaijan is important. Respecting their people and respect other people, all the people of the country are a united force, and must work together to move forward for the development of Azerbaijan," said Aslanova.
