Azerbaijani alpine skier fails to reach finish in slalom

Azerbaijani skier Gaia Bassani Antivari has ended her participation in the Olympic Games in Vancouver.

According to News.Az, last night she competed in slalom. Unfortunately, she could not reach the finish in the first attempt among 32 other skiers that were unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, Maria Riesch has won the first place. Second is Austrian Maris Schild, third is Sarka Zakhrobska from  the Czech Republic.

Gaia Bassani Antivari had come 57th in the slalom giant earlier.
