
Azerbaijan produced 12,000,000 tonnes of oil in January-March of 2011, a fall of 304,000 tonnes over the equivalent period of last year.
Production stood at 4.1m tonnes of crude in January, 3.8m tonnes in February and 4.1m tonnes in March, sources in the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan reported.
The government predicts production at 51.55m tonnes of oil in 2011.
In 2010, Azerbaijan produced 51.5m tonnes, 2.2% increase over 2010.
AIOC, developing Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli bloc of fields, accounts for the most part of produced oil - 43m tonnes.
