“Some aspects of holding the parliamentary election in Azerbaijan can be applied in Australia,” head of the observer mission from Australia Luke Simpkins said.

He said that on the voting day, the Australian delegation visited 20 polling stations in Baku and Azerbaijan, AzerTag reports.

“During the mission, we met with both other observers and voters,” said Simpkins. “Some points we witnessed during the election in Azerbaijan can be applied in Australia.”

Another member of the Australian delegation David Johnston said there haven’t been any violations at any of nine polling stations he visited.

“The elections were fair, transparent, in line with democratic standards,” said Johnston.
