A Spanish court Monday authorised the extradition of a Georgian crime boss who has been convicted of kidnapping and other crimes in his homeland.

The Spanish court has satisfied the request of the Georgian Prosecutor’s Office regarding the extradition of criminal authority Shakro Kalashov to Georgia, InterpressNews was told by a spokesman of the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia.

According to the spokesman, the Prosecutor’s Office has already received the corresponding document from the Spanish court.

However, Shakro Kalashov may appeal the decision to a higher court, the spokesman said.

Kalashov was detained by Spanish law-enforcers several months ago on the demand of Georgian law-enforcers. He is charged with control of drug transit.
