Georgian crew members died in the plane crash

Georgian crew of Company Airzena died in the plane crash at yesterday.

Three people of the crew of the United Nations plane which crashed while trying to land at the airport serving Congo`s capital, Kinshasa, on Monday, have been identified.

They are Suliko Tsutskiridze, Guram Kepuladze and Albert Manukov. The fourth killed member of the crew is supposed to be the leader of the plane, Aleksei Oganesyan.  32 people were killed in the crash, 20 of which were the UN officers. Only one person aboard has survived in the crash.

"We can confirm only one survivor out of the 33 people on board the ... plane," U.N. spokesman Farhan Haq said in New York. The world body earlier said Congolese and foreign nationals were on board the plane.

The operator of the plane, Georgian flag carrier Airzena Georgian Airways, said the crew was Georgian.

Reportedly, the plane landed heavily, broke into two and caught fire. `There were strong winds blowing at the time,` Airzena official said.
