Azerbaijan, NATO to hold Partnership for Peace events

Azerbaijan and NATO will hold Peace for Partnership program events on the basis of individual partnership plans, says Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan.

One of the events will start in Istanbul on October 24 within the Azerbaijan-Turkish bilateral cooperation plan. The training course for evaluation of operational opportunities will take place in Finland. The working meeting on establishing the unity of defense institutions will be held in Oslo, Norway on October 26-28.

A high-level defense management course will take place in Ankara on October 26 within the Azerbaijan-Turkish bilateral cooperation plan. Ankara will also host the Ground Troops Operation course started on the same day.

Azerbaijan and Romania will exchange experiences in the field of defense legislation on October 27 in Bucharest.

According to the Azerbaijan-US working plan, the hydrographic management and engineer program course will be held in San Antonio, USA from October 28, 2009 to March 10, 2010. A workshop on security, transition and reconstruction will take place in Baku within this plan.
