Allahshukur Pashazade

Chairman Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The relevant documents have been submitted to the international information bureau of the Nobel Center, CMO International relations Department Head Mugaddas Payizov said.

Pashazade's candidacy was nominated for his efforts in restoring peace in the Chechen Republic and contribution to the unity of Muslims.

In 2010, Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo was awarded Peace Prize and U.S. President Barack Obama in 2009.
