Younger daughter of President gets married

Arzu Aliyeva, younger daughter of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, has got married.

She has married with Samad Gurbanov, 23, Russian businessman and the only son of Aydin Gurbanov, co-founder of the All-Russia Congress of Azerbaijanis, according to ITAR-TASS.

Samad Gurbanov was born in Moscow. Graduate of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, he is currently engaged in family business.

Arzu Aliyeva has studied in England. She is fluent in four languages. She takes part in charity campaigns organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The wedding took place at the recreation center Amburan Estate located 40 kilometers from the center of Baku in the village of Bilgah on the Caspian Sea. Only closest relatives and family friends, as well as a number of heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan were invited.

The wedding ceremony was quite modest while it differed for its elegance. Azerbaijani cuisine dishes with European elements prevailed in the wedding menu.

Local musicians were given preference in the music part of the celebration.

Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev and his wife Svetlana Medvedeva congratulated the newlyweds in a special telegram to their parents.
