Week of Italian language held in Baku

The 12th world week of Italian language started at the Azerbaijan University of Languages on 16 October.

According to the news service for the university, the event opening ceremony was attended by chief of the department for public relations and news service of the university Zeynab Kazimova, head of the chair of Italian language Kamala Aliyeva, Italian ambassador in Azerbaijan Mario Baldi, professor of the Milan school of languages Sylvia Vassalo and students of the translation faculty of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, learning Italian.

During his speech ambassador Mario Baldi noted the importance of ties between Italy and Azerbaijan including relations in the sphere of education and culture, noted establishment of the ties of cooperation between the Azerbaijan University of Language and the universities of Italy and voiced confidence about further development of thees ties.

The diplomat noted the important role of such events in raising interest to Italian language.
