Azerbaijani-Turkish friendship park opens in Kartepe

On Friday, a newly laid Azerbaijani-Turkish friendship park in Kartepe municipal area of Turkish province Kocaeli was opened.

The opening ceremony involved head of the socio-political department of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov, chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov, advisor of the Turkish Prime Minister Seadetdin Kilic, chairman of the Marmara Group Social and Strategic Studies Centre Akkan Suver, chairman of Kartepe municipality Shukru Karabalik, and leadership of Kocaeli province and municipality, Gun.Az reports, referring to the State Committee for Work with Diaspora.

Opening the ceremony, chairman of the Azerbaijani Turkish Associations Federation Bilal Dundar welcomed the participants and noted that this park is an embodiment of friendly and fraternal relations between the two nations.

Chairman of the Kartepe municipality Shukru Karabalik noted that Azerbaijan for Turkey is an important state. He underlined that any project and initiative in which Azerbaijan's name is mentioned is always supported by Turkey.

Chief of the socio-political department of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov, in turn, thanked the Turkish side for love and attention attached to Azerbaijan. He underlined that transnational projects carried out jointly by Turkey and Azerbaijan add strength to the strength of the two countries and further increase their prestige in region and the world.

Noting that national leader Heydar Aliyev's saying "One nation, two states" expresses the historical reality, Hasanov pointed out that relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are of a strategic nature. He thanked the Kocaeli province and municipality and Derince municipality for the support in laying the park.

At the end of the event, chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov presented a thanks plaque to Kartepe municipality head Shukru Karabalik.

Following the ceremony, the participants visited the park bearing the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev, located in Derince municipality area.
