Magnus Carlsen plays chess with Azerbaijani children from Nagorno-Karabakh

World chess champion Magnus Carlsen and five schoolchildren who are members of the Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan have held chess for peace match in Shamkir district.

Prior to the match, the schoolchildren laid flowers at a statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Shamkir.

The match then started at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
