Azerbaijani chess team fifth in Vladimir Dvorkovich’s Cup

The fifth international contest in chess in Vladimir Dvorkovich’s Team involving the Azerbaijani team has ended in Moscow.

According to News.Az, the Azerbaijani team included Nijat Abbasov, Ulvi Bajarani, Misretdin Isgenderov and Sabina Ibrahimova.

On the whole, the contest involved eight teams. The opponents played two times. In the result, the Chinese team gained an overwhelming victory with 27 out of 28 possible points. Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani team became fifth with 13 points.

Our chess players managed to beat Poland and Russia by results of the two games, they held a draw with Armenia and lost to Ukraine, China, Belarus and united team of Vladimir Dvorkovich.
