Azerbaijani Premier League fourth in attendance in post-Soviet space

UEFA has published the annual report, which examined attendance of 670 teams from all 53 national football associations of Europe in the season of 2011/2012.

An average of 2,381 people attend the games of the Azerbaijani Premier league which is why it occupies the fourth place among the countries of the former USSRs. Russia (12,903), Ukraine (11,009) and Kazakhstan (3854) are top three.

Azerbaijan is followed by Belarus (2,372), Georgia (1066), Lithuania (781), Armenia (692), Moldova (660), Latvia (504) and Estonia (160).

German Bundesleage whose attendance was  45116 people on average at every match led the overall ranking. English Premier League is second (34,600). Spanish Primera (28,796) is the third.

Dortmund’s Borussia remains the most attended club in Europe and the world. Its every match is attended by 80,521 fans at the stadium capacity of 80,720.
