President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave an interview to journalists upon return from Russia following the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Marja, one of the issues was related to the use of Turkish lira and ruble in trade between the two countries instead of dollar.

"We would benefit from carrying out trade with ruble and Turkish lira. In such a situation, dollar rate will further drop. We will escape currency repression, pressure of exchange rate. Both Russia and we will benefit," Erdogan said.
