A series of explosions occurred in the north of the Crimean peninsula under the control of Russia, News.az reports citing TASS.

The nearby village of Mayskoe was evacuated because of the explosion in the ammunition warehouse.

"The explosions occurred in the former farm, where the military is temporarily displaced. The ammunition was detonated," a local source told reporters.
