Putin meets Iranian president, supreme leader in Tehran

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday met his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi and Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei separately as he landed in Tehran for a one-day visit, News.az reports citing Iran's Mehr News Agency.

Putin is scheduled to attend a trilateral meeting on Syria with Raisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is in Iran for a working visit, as well as other bilateral meetings.

Putin and Raisi discussed further expansion of relations in various fields, including energy, transit, and commercial exchanges, as well as regional developments.
