Ukraine’s president says a deal has been reached to open another supply route to secure winter gas imports.

The European Council has agreed on its negotiating position regarding the draft regulation to phase out Russian natural gas imports. 

European imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) saw a significant decline last year, falling by 19% to their lowest levels since the pandemic, according to a recent report.
