Shares of SK Hynix surged more than 7% on Monday, hitting a record high as renewed optimism around artificial intelligence demand boosted chipmakers.

Samsung Electronics has forecast a dramatic surge in first-quarter profits, driven by booming demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure that has pushed semiconductor prices sharply higher.

ASML, the world’s largest supplier of lithography systems used in semiconductor manufacturing, said in its 2025 annual report published Wednesday that it now views the artificial intelligence boom as the primary driver of demand for its products.
