Troubled electric vehicle maker Nikola has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Spirit Airlines has once again rejected a third takeover offer from budget airline rival Frontier, choosing instead to concentrate on its own strategy to emerge from bankruptcy and stabilize its finances.
