Central Bank and IFC discuss commitments on green finance

The delegation led by the Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Taleh Kazimov met with Jamie Fergusson, the Global Director, Climate Business at the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

During the meeting, they discussed the COP29, goals and commitments on the green finance, formation of a favorable environment for sustainable finance and cooperation with IFC in preparation for taxonomy. The two exchanged views on the initiatives implemented by the Central Bank towards transition to a sustainable economy.

The meeting also featured other important issues of bilateral interest and prospects for cooperation between the institutions.
