U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday urged Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook to step down, following a call from the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency for the Department of Justice to investigate Cook over alleged mortgage fraud, News.Az reports, citingReuters.
Representatives for Cook could not be immediately reached for comment on the allegations posted by FHFA Director Bill Pulte on X earlier on Wednesday.
