Moment Charlie Kirk was shot at Utah Valley University – VIDEO
A video circulating on social media captures the moment conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was shot during an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
He died later after being taken to the hospital, News.Az reports, citing US media.
The video posted to social media shows Kirk on stage, sitting in a chair, talking into a microphone while sitting under a white tent emblazoned with the slogans "The American Comeback" and "Prove Me Wrong."
A single gunshot was heard and Kirk's head thrust back as he fell. People started screaming and running away, the video shows.
Following the shooting, Kirk was rushed from the location by his security team and taken to a local hospital.
President Donald Trump later shared on his Truth Social account that Kirk died Wednesday afternoon.
"The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!" Trump wrote.
