The UK has reached an agreement with the European Union regarding Gibraltar's status following Brexit.

Britain and the EU have reached a new Brexit agreement under which Gibraltar will open its borders with Spain, eliminate passport controls with the EU, and join the EU customs union.

According to a joint statement, the UK, EU, and Spain held a "constructive and productive" discussion on Thursday, leading to "further progress" in Gibraltar talks, News.Az reports citing foreign media .
