Kazakhstan said on Wednesday it will redirect some oil from the Kashagan field to China following a Ukrainian drone attack on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal in the Baltic Sea.

Kazakhstan has begun constructing a plant in the Atyrau region to fractionate liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from the Kashagan field, according to the Energy Ministry.

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has commenced the transit of crude oil from Kazakhstan's Kashagan field through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline.
