Howard Phillips, 65, a former City worker from Harlow, Essex, has been found guilty of attempting to work for Russian intelligence after an undercover MI5 operation exposed his plans.

Declassified documents from MI5 suggest that Queen Elizabeth II was unaware for nearly a decade that Anthony Blunt, a key figure in the royal household and surveyor of the queen's pictures, had confessed to being a Soviet double agent.
