BP, operator of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) oil field, has announced that December 30 marks 20 years since the first oil was produced from the West Azeri platform, a key milestone in the development of the giant ACG field.

According to operational data for January-June 2024, Azerbaijan produced 13.7 million tons oil (including condensate).

The Contract of the Century has a special place in the history of U.S.-Azerbaijan bilateral relations, U.S. Ambassador to Baku Mark Libby said on Friday.
