DHL has lifted its temporary suspension on shipments valued over $800 to the United States, following successful negotiations that led to "adjustments" in customs regulations.

The German express delivery company DHL will suspend shipments of goods from business clients to individuals in the United States that cost more than $800 from April 21.

DHL unveiled plans on Thursday to lay off about 8,000 jobs this year as part of a strategy to save more than 1 billion euros ($1.08 billion) by 2027, after the German logistics giant reported a 7.2% fall in annual operating profit.
