The death toll from the heavy monsoon rains and flash floods that have struck Pakistan since June 26 has climbed to 291, with 698 people reported injured.

At least 31 people have died, and 151 others have been injured in monsoon-related disasters in Nepal within a month since the rainy season began on May 28, officials reported on Tuesday.
