Zambia on Tuesday declared a poliovirus outbreak in line with the International Health Regulations after samples collected from a wastewater treatment plant in the capital, Lusaka, tested positive for the virus.
Indonesia has officially ended its circulating poliovirus type 2 (cVDPV2) outbreak, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin announced on Friday, following the administration of nearly 60 million additional vaccine doses to children.
