Russian gas exports to Europe through the TurkStream pipeline rose by 8.3% in 2025, reaching a record 18 billion cubic meters, according to data from the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG).

Russia’s pipeline gas exports to Europe fell by 44% in 2025, reaching their lowest level since the mid-1970s, following the shutdown of the Ukrainian transit route and the European Union’s move to phase out Russian fossil fuel imports.

From January to March 2025, Azerbaijan exported non-oil and gas products worth $232.9 million to Russia, marking a 3.3% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

Russia’s energy giant Gazprom exported 23% more natural gas to Europe last month than it did in June 2023, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing its calculations.
