Azerbaijan wrestler crowned European junior champion
Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Elmir Aliyev (55 kg) has climbed the highest step on the podium in the 2023 European Juniors Wrestling Championships in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. He beat rivals from Spain, France, Turkiye, Armenia and Ukraine, News.Az reports.
Other Azerbaijani wrestler Faraim Mustafayev (65 kg) has secured a bronze while Davud Mammadov (77 kg) and Mazaim Mardanov (130 kg) have bagged silver medals.
