Draining of Lake Urmia can be called ‘genocide’ – expert
The draining of Lake Urmia can be called ‘genocide’, Babek Azeroghlu, an expert from South Azerbaijan, said on Wednesday.
He made the remarks during public discussions in Baku on the topic “Draining of Lake Urmia”, News.Az reports.
The expert stressed that the Iranian regime has been carrying out a policy against Azerbaijanis and Turkism for about a hundred years.
“Iran is trying to harm the Turks as much as possible,” Azeroghlu added.
