Israel announces ‘humanitarian area’ in Gaza’s Khan Younis

The Israeli military said Saturday it is establishing a “humanitarian zone” in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, southern Gaza, ahead of expanded military operations in the enclave.
The zone is set to include field hospitals, water pipelines, desalination facilities, and food supplies, according to the military, which urged Gaza residents to evacuate there, News.Az reports, citing Reuters.
