Strong earthquake jolts Cuba, shallow depth reported

A magnitude 6 earthquake struck Cuba on Tuesday, News.Az reports, citing the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

The quake was recorded at a shallow depth of 15 kilometers (9.3 miles), a factor that can increase the intensity of ground shaking.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties as authorities continue to monitor the situation.
