The 44th meeting of the Standing Committee (SC) of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) and the 4th meeting of the ICAPP Asian Cultural Council took place in Baku, hosted by the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP).

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said that his country promotes harmonious relations among different cultures on the international stage and consistently advances a number of initiatives on the platform of inter-civilizational dialogue.

Azerbaijan’s Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova has said that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to developing political relations with Asian countries, highlighting the active international engagement of the country’s ruling party.

By fully restoring its territorial integrity and sovereignty as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020 and the one-day anti-terrorist operation in 2023, Azerbaijan has created favorable conditions for lasting peace, stability and reliable security in the South Caucasus and very significant opportunities for establishing new cooperation relations in the geography and beyond, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in a letter to the participants of the 12th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).
