Microsoft’s largest data center project in India remains on schedule to go live by mid-2026, according to the tech giant's regional head. The expansion comes as part of a massive capital offensive to secure dominance in one of the world's fastest-growing markets for artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

On Monday, Australia's competition regulator filed a lawsuit against Microsoft (MSFT.O), alleging that the company misled millions of customers into paying higher prices for its Microsoft 365 software by bundling it with the AI tool Copilot.

Microsoft announced that the root cause of a recent global IT outages has been resolved, although some Microsoft 365 cloud platform systems may still experience issues.
