The Middle East is once again approaching a dangerous threshold. Israel’s growing readiness for a direct strike against Iran is no longer treated in global capitals as speculation or political theater. What was once confined to intelligence leaks, diplomatic signals, and unofficial briefings has increasingly moved into the realm of concrete military planning, strategic messaging, and open debate among decision-makers. The central question today is no longer whether Israel views such a strike as an option, but how close the region is to crossing a line that could fundamentally reshape regional and global security.

During Tuesday’s test, the missile flew approximately 14,000 kilometers (8,700 miles) over 15 hours. President Vladimir Putin described it as a “unique weapon that no other country in the world possesses.”

North Korea showcased its new Hwasong-20 intercontinental ballistic missile at a military parade, with state-run media reporting on Saturday that it is the North's "most powerful nuclear strategic weapon."

On March 8, Kim Jong-un was reported to have visited undisclosed shipyards, where he was photographed with a large vessel that North Korea referred to as a “nuclear-powered strategic guided missile submarine.”

Russia's Knyaz Pozharsky, a Project 955A (Borey-A) strategic nuclear-powered submarine constructed at the Sevmash Shipyard, has entered state trials, according to a source close to the Russian Navy.
