Japan has issued a warning of a potential megaquake following a magnitude 7.5 tremor that struck the northern regions late Monday, triggering tsunami alerts.
Several tsunami warnings were downgraded on Wednesday for various areas that were at risk following a magnitude 8.8 earthquake that struck near Russia late Tuesday.
